Our feature soundtrack this week comes from Sydney solo artist Raven aka Peter Hollo.  Starting off as a musical project that evolved from his passion for IDM and experimental electronica in 1997, Raven’s music continues to reflect the musical interests of Hollo’s radio show on FBi- Utility Fog (our old show neighbour before we moved to the new Thursday timeslot!) which specialises in a genre coined by Hollo as ‘postfolkrocktronica’. 

Raven creates hauntingly beautiful music using cello, piano, loop pedals and laptop programming and processing. 

Raven also plays cello in the acclaimed FourPlay String Quartet and more recently formed the trio Haunts (former soundtrack contributors to EHE) with two members of Sydney’s Underlapper. 

Amongst currently working on a new cello looping track as a soundtrack for an animation piece to launch at the Sydney International Animation Festival at UTS, Raven has been creating a 15 minute soundtrack exclusively for EHE listeners.
